Michael Ember

Principal

Michael Ember joined McNally Capital in 2017 and is a Principal. He focuses on evaluating and executing direct private equity investments and supporting portfolio companies. Michael co-leads the execution of the firm’s National Security investment thesis and leads transactions across other McNally Capital industries of focus.

Michael’s investment and portfolio company responsibilities include FedData, Altamira Technologies (realized), Orbis, ITS Logistics (realized), Xcelerate Solutions, Endurion, Patriot Group International (PGI), and TENICA Global Solutions. He is a board member at Xcelerate, Endurion, PGI, and TENICA.

Prior to joining McNally Capital, Michael served as an Investment Banking Analyst at William Blair & Company in Chicago. His experience includes M&A and equity offerings and financings, as well as recapitalizations in the aerospace, industrial, and consumer sectors, working with middle-market and Fortune 500 clients.

Michael received an MBA with concentrations in Finance, Accounting, and Entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago, where he was also a safety on the school’s football team.

Outside of the office, Michael volunteers with The Honor Foundation, a military transition organization. At The Honor Foundation, Michael is a member of the Leadership Circle.
